The New Orleans Saints had plenty of needs heading into 2026 NFL free agency, and in the span of only a few days, they were able to fill a significant number of them. However, there are still some remaining gaps in their talent tree that will need to be analyzed prior to the season kicking off. One of the most notable is at cornerback, as Kool-Aid McKinstry and Quincy Riley are both proving to be young core pieces, but with the loss of Alontae Taylor, it may be worth taking another.
It will be intriguing to see if the Saints go more for that nickel role or an outside corner and move some players around. One of the names they will be checking in on is Toledo outside cornerback Andre Fuller, as Jacob Infante of PFSN reports they were one of a few teams to hold a meeting with him.
Fuller is an extremely fun prospect to take a look at when it comes to pretty much every element of his game. In 13 games this season, including his bowl game, he was targeted a whopping 52 times, only allowing 22 receptions (42.3% completion rate) for 259 yards and one touchdown, while picking up an interception and 9 pass breakups. The two notable downsides are that his missed tackle rate hit 10.9% this year, and he also picked up five penalties in that span, neither of which is egregious, but are certainly notable.

He predominantly got reps as a boundary corner in 2025, 590 of his snaps coming there, compared to 70 in the slot, 39 in the box, and 12 aligned alongside the defensive line. His athleticism indicates he should be able to make things work at many spots, though over time, posting a 9.19 Relative Athletic Score, with his size being a huge component of his ability to compete in coverage.
Fuller is considered to be roughly an early Day 3 selection, potentially slightly earlier depending on how the pre-draft process ends up for him. His production is impressive, and his athleticism is well above average, so he could be a fun addition for the Saints to see how well they can develop him into a boundary corner alongside McKinstry.
