Rich Paul and New Balance are back at it again, this time working on one of the Boston-based sportswear brand’s most exciting new sneakers. 

The Rich Paul x New Balance Abzorb 2010 “Unbothered” features a premium colorway in a red wine-colored Plum Brown/NB Burgundy combination. According to an official press release, the collaboration is inspired by being unbothered, which it describes as “a mindset, a mantra, an intentional way of living..being unbothered means expectations, doubts, and restrictions lose their power.”

This translates to a pigskin, leather and mesh-based iteration of the Abzorb 2010 which looks as though it’s been used for grape stomping. The two-tone look features the Abzorb 2010’s signature details including a breathable diamond mesh material and Abzorb SBS cushioning in both the heel and forefoot. 

Alongside the sneakers, the latest Rich Paul x New Balance drop includes a graphic T-shirt, hat and hoodie with prices ranging from $45 to $200.

Paul’s collaboration with New Balance dates back to 2021, when the Klutch Sports Group founder worked on a special-edition of the brand’s 550 sneakers. That was followed up with another 550 colorway in 2023, just months after debuting a Klutch Athletic training brand in partnership with New Balance.’

Paul, a member of LeBron James’ inner circle, has also been spotted in an unreleased New Balance Abzorb 2010 collaboration in Dark Vintage Rose/Angora, although it’s not yet clear if that style will be made available to the public. 

The New Balance Abzorb 2010 was introduced in May and is sometimes simply labeled the 2010. The 2000s-inspired model takes cues from heritage New Balance designs, adding aesthetic and proportional updates to give the shoe a modern feel. 

The Rich Paul x New Balance Abzorb 2010 Unbothered collaboration will be released Dec. 17 for a retail price of $180 from newbalance.com. The sneaker’s style code is U2010RP1.
