Priyanka Chopra Jonas arrived at JFK in New York City on Monday wearing a pair of lug-sole boots that have already logged time in her travel rotation.

Her black boots, which appear to be a pull-on style, featured an unadorned, smooth upper and a rounded toe. A thick treaded lug rubber sole added a platform-like base to the silhouette, with the outsole’s raised traction blocks and chunkier lugs around the edges peeking up around the base of the boot.

She paired the practical footwear with a mottled gray washed-denim set: a zip-front jacket with a tan pointed collar, dropped shoulders and an elasticized waist, worn with matching wide-leg cargo jeans. The pants featured oversize flap pockets at the thighs and curved seaming through the knees.

Her accessories stayed tight and travel-ready, too: She opted for a matching baseball cap and tinted aviator-style sunglasses with thin metal frames, along with a berry lip complementary to the shades.

Chopra Jonas has treated this boot shape as a repeat airport solution. Back in April 2025, also at JFK, she wore what appear to be the same pull-on lug-sole boots with a long cardigan jacket, cropped tank, trousers and a baseball cap, calling out the same slip-on, heavy-tread idea as the key travel shoe.

The silhouette has held in the wider market as luxury houses kept lug soles in rotation. Prada’s Monolith brushed-leather Chelsea boots, for example, sit on a 55mm rubber sole with lug tread and a pull-on build, a spec set that helped codify the look as a fashion staple beyond pure utility. Celebrities also gravitate towards more classic boot silhouettes, like Dr. Martens.

The airport repeat landed after her recent “The Bluff” footwear run, which included Dior’s Muse pumps in Los Angeles and croc-embossed Jimmy Choo knee-high boots in New York — two on-duty shoe moments that made the lug boot return read like a deliberate travel default.
