While it might not be immediately apparent to renters, the construction method behind the 11-storey building is quietly rewriting what’s possible in high-rise rental delivery. “This is the first building that uses the modular precast system — the MPS system — in the GTA,” says Michelle Xuereb, innovation director, Americas, for BDP Quadrangle. “It has two-storey precast columns, precast walls, precast slabs. The system being used at this scale is new here.”
