If you’ve been interested in checking out Paramount Plus but are hesitant to pull the trigger, now is a great time to subscribe. Right now, the streaming service is offering a solid discount for new and returning subscribers. Through March 31, you can sign up for the platform at $3 a month for two months — and that price applies to both the Paramount Plus Essential tier (with ads) and the Premium tier (no ads).
This offer is similar to the streamer’s Black Friday deal, but when you do the math, this discount saves you more money. Paramount Plus raised its prices earlier this year, bumping up the ad-supported Essential plan to $9 a month and the ad-free Premium plan to $14 a month. This two-month deal will give you a $6 discount on Essential and a sturdy $11 discount on Premium.
With those savings, this is an excellent deal, no matter how you look at it. If you choose to take advantage of the offer, remember that after two months, the service will revert to the normal monthly prices I listed above.
If you’re unsure which plan to choose, let’s break down the difference: Paramount Plus Essential is ad-supported and gives you access to on-demand content, minus most of Showtime’s lineup; Paramount Plus Premium is ad-free, gives you on-demand content, unlocks all of Showtime’s library, offers a live feed of your local CBS station, and gives you the ability to download shows and movies.
Both plans carry the whole Taylor Sheridan library — aside from Yellowstone, which moved to Peacock — including titles like The Madison, Marshals and Landman. That’s along with access to the Star Trek universe, long-running fan favorite South Park, CBS’s content library, Paramount movies and an array of live sports, including the NFL on CBS, the UEFA Champions League and UFC events. To watch all of CBS’s live sports programming, you’ll need to upgrade to Premium.
