Outer Rim just got a big discount at Amazon

We’ve been lucky enough to receive a whole host of Star Wars tabletop games over the years, and whether you’ve enjoyed the Unlimited TCG, the miniatures of Shatterpoint, or just about anything else, this deal is well worth a look. Over at Amazon, Star Wars: The Outer Rim has seen a sizable price cut of 34%, meaning you’re able to get the boxed game for $55.87 instead of its list price of $84.99. Whether it’s the kind of heist you’d be interested in as a scoundrel in the Star Wars universe is up to you, but that’s a decent discount.

If you’ve ever dreamed of playing as morally gray characters like Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, the death-dealing droid IG-88 or even Boba Fett and Jyn Erso, then Outer Rim will be right up your alley. The game eschews Jedi philosophizing and large-scale battles in favor of a quest to gain notoriety by any means necessary, whether you want to be a cheeky ne’er-do-well or a downright psychopathic bounty hunter. Outer Rim lets you build your legend and upgrade your ship as you go.

Each session takes between two and three hours, and the game can accommodate anywhere from one to four players. With more than 1,600 reviews on Amazon, Outer Rim is sitting pretty at an impressive rating of 4.8/5 stars. No one hates Star Wars as passionately as disgruntled Star Wars fans, so this narrative-driven strategy game is clearly striking the right notes with players.

If you’re a fan of stuff, you’ll no doubt enjoy the volume of cards, boards, and everything else contained in here, too. (There’s nothing quite like a board game full of pieces, is there?) Outer Rim has an optional expansion, too, called Unfinished Business, which popped up in our recommended board game list back in 2022.
