One of our favourite Steam Deck cases is 15% off in the Amazon Spring Sale

The JSAUX ModCase is our second favourite Steam Deck case, serving as a more affordable alternative to the Dbrand Project Killswitch. It’s an affordable means of protecting your handheld PC while also having the modularity of more expensive cases. The deal we’ve spotted is on the base option, which is coming in at $25 from Amazon US in the current Spring Sale. You can push to other options with more accessories, although those aren’t discounted to the same extent at the moment.

James liked this JSAUX case for its modularity, which Valve’s own case doesn’t offer in any guise. This basic package includes a kickstand and an adjustable power bank fastening strap, so you can pair it with some of the best Steam Deck power banks to keep it topped up without reaching into a bag. These accessories can of course be swapped out for all manner of things included with the dearer sets, such as a USB hub, external cooling fan, or M.2 SSD enclosure for easy access to more storage.

The case itself comprises a protective rear skin with a metal stand, plus a front cover to guard the Deck’s face while it’s rattling around in your bag. The front cover does a decent job of covering the Steam Deck’s screen, and while it’s not quite as protective of the shoulder buttons, James found it still kept his handheld ding-free. The case is otherwise a blend of ABS plastic and silicone, and has a TPU wrap on the edges that JSAUX says is designed to dampen any impact from drops or falls.

If you want a modular Steam Deck case that’ll protect your device and provide ample room for accessories, this discounted JSAUX case is a handy choice.
