Nike‘s new duo of mind-altering shoes have sold out with each drop since debuting at the beginning of the year, but a restock is on the way in just a matter of days.
The Nike Mind 001 and Mind 002 will each restock in several colorways early next week. The formal model, a mule, will return in its black, gray and red colorways while the full-on sneaker is coming back in black, gray and khaki.
Both silhouettes employ a series of nodules underfoot backed by science to induce sensations of calm and focus before and after athletic performances. Targeted pressure points coordinate with key regions of the brain, and the shoes are the first output from Nike’s Mind Science Department staffed by neuroscientists.
“For 45 years, Nike has studied the body in motion — how muscles fire, how joints move, how oxygen fuels performance,” Dr. Matthew Nurse, Nike vice president and chief science officer, said in a press release announcing the two shoes. “Now, we’re expanding into the mind. By studying perception, attention and sensory feedback, we’re uncovering how the brain and body work together. It’s not just about running faster — it’s about feeling more present, focused, and resilient. That’s the next frontier of performance.”
The Mind 001 and Mind 002 will soon get their first collaborations via Fragment, which has altered the upper of the sneaker with new materials and a grungier aesthetic.
The Nike Mind 001 and Mind 002 restock is scheduled for Monday on Nike’s website. Pricing for the former is set at $95 and the latter $145.
