New CAQ leader and Quebec premier to be selected…


The Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) will select outgoing Premier François Legault’s successor on April 12, as the party announced its leadership race begins Thursday.

Candidates have until Feb. 21 to submit their applications.

To qualify, contenders must collect signatures from 1,000 party members across at least 75 ridings, including support from 15 MNAs and 100 members of the CAQ’s youth wing.
