Net-a-porter Taps Three New York Labels for 2026 Vanguard Program


LONDON — Net-a-porter is working with three independent labels as part of its annual mentorship program, The Vanguard, which is dedicated to championing the next generation of designers.

The labels are Kallmeyer, Colleen Allen and Heirlome, which the company described as fast-emerging “influential voices in fashion, recognized for their distinctive creative perspectives and growing cultural impact.”

The Vanguard will offer each brand one bespoke mentorship and strategic business guidance as well as dedicated campaign support to spotlight their spring 2026 collections.

“The Vanguard program reflects our continued commitment to identifying and investing in the most exciting emerging talent shaping the future of fashion,” said Brigitte Chartrand, Net-a-porter‘s chief buying and merchandising officer.

Chartrand said the three labels demonstrate “a distinctive design perspective, strong brand identity and clear growth potential. By pairing them with industry leaders and providing dedicated strategic support, we aim to help them scale thoughtfully and build enduring global businesses.”

Kallmeyer was founded by the New York-based Daniella Kallmeyer. The label reimagines everyday staples, blends the masculine with the feminine, and puts the focus on tailoring. The latest collection explores “architectural elegance.”

The designer, who also serves as chief executive officer, described her label as “independently run, with intentional priorities in sustainable business practices, and strong customer relations.” She said being part of the Vanguard program is an opportunity to focus on the areas of scale where Net-a-porter has expertise.

Colleen Allen is based in Brooklyn and debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2024. Net described Allen as “one of the city’s most exciting young designers, recognized for her focus on modern femininity and romantic silhouettes.”

Before launching her label, Allen worked at The Row and for Raf Simons at Calvin Klein. Her collections blend utilitarian fabrics, such as fleece, with vintage-inspired silhouettes. Allen said she’s “excited to be part of a community that supports emerging designers as we continue to grow and evolve.”

Heirlome was founded by the New York-based Stephanie Suberville and Jeffrey Axford.

Each season they collaborate with local Mexican and Latin American artisans, exploring traditional techniques across print, pattern, weaving, knitting and embroidery.

Suberville, whose title is creative director and cofounder, said she is looking forward to working with Net-a-porter’s mentors and having the space “to promote our brand and the work we are doing at a global scale.”

Each designer has been paired with dedicated mentors tailored to their business ambitions and creative direction. Heather Kaminetsky, CEO of Net-a-porter, and Johanna Sjöberg, CEO of Toteme, will work with Kallmeyer.

Elsa Lanzo, CEO of Rick Owens, and Katie Shillingford, stylist and fashion director at AnOther magazine, will mentor Colleen Allen. Designer Gabriela Hearst and the sustainability activist Aditi Mayer will work with Heirlome.
