NDP wishes everyone a happy New Year! « Canada’s NDP

NDP Leader Don Davies issued the following statement:

“All across the country, Canadians are coming together with family and friends to welcome the New Year with hope, joy and celebration. It marks an opportunity for peace, growth and a better future for all.

2026 is going to be a particularly exciting time for New Democrats. We will continue our rebuilding, promote progressive policies and select our new leader this spring. With growing social, economic, and environmental challenges, the voices of New Democrats have never been more needed in our Parliament.

This year will also present challenges and unpredictability for working families. Our NDP caucus will continue to bring power to workers and advocate lower costs for life’s essentials. We believe that everyone in Canada has a right to an affordable home, to put food on the table, and to live with health, dignity and security. In 2026, we will continue our work to make that dream a reality.

On behalf of my family and all New Democrats, I wish everyone a safe and happy New Year!”
