Naomi Watts and her model daughter Kai Schreiber matched in black Balenciaga at the house’s fall 2026 show on Saturday in Paris, arriving in coordinated spring 2026 runway looks.

Watts wore Balenciaga spring 2026 look 49, minus the cream opera gloves and eye mask shown on the runway. The look paired a black strapless sculpted top with slim black trousers. The top traced a rounded, molded line through the torso and ran longer over the hips. Watts carried a black foldover clutch and appeared to wear the label’s black Duchesse pumps. A side-parted updo, red lipstick and dark earrings kept the finish sharp.

Schreiber wore Balenciaga spring 2026 look 14, also in black, but with a barer, more directional cut. The look combined low-slung tailored trousers and a slim belt with a folded bandeau-style top that exposed the midriff and extended into a long draped panel at one side. She also carried a black clutch and wore narrow pointed pumps. Loose hair and smoky eyes kept the look in the same severe register as Watts’, with a longer, leaner proportion.

Their twinned front-row look made sense within the broader Balenciaga conversation that night. In WWD’s review of the fall 2026 show, Miles Socha described black as “the defining color of the season and of recent Balenciaga,” giving Watts’ and Schreiber’s coordination a clear house logic.

For Schreiber, the appearance added to an already fast-moving stretch in fashion. WWD previously named her one of the breakout faces of the spring 2026 season after runway appearances for Valentino, Calvin Klein, Fendi and Mugler. Last month, she also appeared in H&M’s latest campaign alongside Ice Spice and Paloma Elsesser, extending her visibility beyond the runway.

Watts and Schreiber have been building this Balenciaga pattern for several seasons. At the house’s fall 2025 couture show in July, Schreiber wore a strapless polka dot dress opposite Watts in a custom black jacket and skirt look, with the two coordinating in palette rather than silhouette. At Balenciaga’s fall 2024 couture show, Watts arrived in a white tailored outfit with black accents, while Schreiber wore black lace and a long dark skirt. By Saturday, that approach had narrowed into black-on-black Balenciaga runway dressing.
