Looking to reach out to journalists about an interesting freedom of information request relating to BC and Quebec’s surgery capacity for Trans Bottom surgery and the cancellation of BC’s funding to GRS Montreal
Some Trans people I know in a local discord server filed a FOI request over BC’s decision to end funding for transfeminine bottom surgeries in GRS Montreal, and got a lot of information back on funding, surgeries being done, wait times, etc

The request came back, with some very interesting and conflicting information that we believe should go public, but I don’t really have any direct contacts to get this off the ground and spread more awareness.
It may not even be newsworthy, but I think if there is a journalist who cares about Trans Rights and Healthcare access, it may be worth looking into.
