Leicestershire have bolstered their seam attack with the signing of Yadvinder Singh on a short-term deal.
India-born Singh is a product of the South Asian Cricket Academy and has previously played professionally for Worcestershire.
The 30-year-old has played two first-class matches, taking six wickets at an average of 36.50.
He has trained with Leicestershire through the off-season and will be available for the first month of the new campaign.
“Yadvinder has been with us over the winter and has impressed with both his skill and attitude,” head coach Alfonso Thomas.
“With a few injuries in our seam group, it’s a good opportunity for him and he adds important depth to the squad at the start of the season.”
