Laura Pausini Wears Armani for 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

Laura Pausini is the headline performer at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics on Friday at Milan’s San Siro Olympic Stadium. The Italian singer-songwriter arrived wearing a long-sleeve black gown from the Armani Privé fall 2024 collection. She joined other international artists, including Mariah Carey and Andrea Bocelli, to celebrate the “Harmony” theme of this year’s games.

Described as “profoundly Armanian” on the brand’s Instagram, the full-length gown matched the inky hue of Pausini’s hair, the shadow spread across her lids and the glossy shade of her nails. The dress, an ode to Giorgio Armani, also featured two cutouts on her shoulders and a micro turtleneck, both of which were crystal- and pearl-dusted, as were the cuffs of her sleeves. The namesake designer, often referred to as “King” or “Maestro” in fashion, died at age 91 in September 2025.

Pausini was announced as the headliner at the start of the year in January. The official Instagram page for the event shared a video of the singer wearing a pair of white and silver El Vaquero Bardot boots from the Heritage spring 2025 Collection.

The Italian artist has had a career spanning more than 30 years and has been internationally recognized and awarded with a Grammy Award, five Latin Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award nomination over the years.

Pausini has exposed millions of fans to her Italian music, which spans generations, while also embracing other cultures and languages with Spanish-language albums that have led to her having a large Latin American fanbase and fans worldwide.

The 2026 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXV Winter Olympic Games and commonly referred to as Milano Cortina 2026, is an international multisport event scheduled to take place from Feb. 6 to Feb. 22 at sites across Lombardy and Northeast Italy.
