Lady Gaga’s Blue Flamenco Dress at Super Bowl Bad Bunny Halftime Show

Lady Gaga returned to the Super Bowl stage on Sunday in a baby blue Flamenco dress and red heels, joining Bad Bunny for the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., during the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

For the surprise appearance, Gaga wore a baby blue Flamenco-style dress cut with a ruched V-neck bodice and drop-waist construction. The dress’ skirt was built from narrow, pleated tiers that created a high-low, ruffled silhouette. Her hair was styled in long, set waves as she danced alongside Bad Bunny’s brass section on the stadium steps.

Pinned at one shoulder, a vivid floral brooch combined bright red petals with cascading cream blossoms in the shape of the Flor de Maga, Puerto Rico’s national flower. Gaga matched the red of the flower with a crimson lip, red manicure and coordinating heels.

Bad Bunny’s halftime production foregrounded Puerto Rican references throughout, with dancers in traditional clothing and straw pava hats and the headliner performing in an all-white look bearing his family name “Ocasio” on the back of his jacket while he carried a Puerto Rican flag. Flor de Maga details have appeared in his wardrobe before, including a black floral accent with his Maison Margiela look as a Met Gala host.

The cameo added a new Super Bowl chapter to Gaga’s performance wardrobe. When she headlined the Super Bowl LI halftime show in 2017, she wore a sequence of custom Atelier Versace looks, opening in a Swarovski-crystal bodysuit with strong shoulders and matching boots, then adding a gold spiked jacket and closing in embroidered hot pants and a sculptural white jacket with metallic hardware.

Blue gowns have marked other major broadcast moments in her career, including the powder-blue couture Valentino ball gown and matching hair she wore to the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

Super Bowl LX is underway at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., with the New England Patriots facing the Seattle Seahawks; as of the end of the third quarter, Seattle leads 12-0.
