KidSuper Brings a Boy to the Moon for Spring Campaign

KidSuper has created a storybook that comes to life for his spring campaign.

The Brooklyn-based brand designed by Colm Dillane visited Amsterdam and artist Niels Egidius who created five hand-painted sets for “The Boy Who Jumped the Moon.” The floor-to-ceiling sets tell the story of a boy who dreamed to reach the moon — and believed he could — by using balloons, kites and old engines. Although these conveyances failed, the boy got a little further on every attempt.

With help from his community, the boy eventually found a way to reach the moon: by jumping.

Inspired by his success, others began trying to reach their seemingly impossible goals too.

The story was brought to life by choreographer Shay Latukolan, who appeared as one of the characters in the film. Sebastian Boon of Segraphy was the photographer and provided the creative direction.

The campaign will be featured on KidSuper’s Instagram channel — each chapter will get its own dedicated post. That will be accompanied by a film and series of video reels. The characters in the story wear pieces from the spring ’26 collection including the vegan leather “Boy Who Jumped the Moon” aviator jacket and the scribble shirts.

“I’ve always wanted to make a children’s book. This is kind of that — except the pages walk,” said Dillane.

“For me, this wasn’t just a job. I was inspired by the story of the boy and it made me think about my own journey,” said Boon. “I wanted everything to feel handmade — so we told the story through five hand-painted worlds. The paintings barely fit inside his studio, but somehow that made them feel even more right. This project is for everyone who carries a dream. When dreams come together, that’s when the magic happens.”

The campaign launches on Friday.
