Add Balenciaga to the designer brands battling it out for spring sneaker dominance.
The Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe collaboration and Versace x Onitsuka Tiger tie-up have both been making headlines this week. On Friday, Balenciaga and recently installed creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli entered the chat, with some help from Katy Perry.

The Radar is the brand’s new take on the slim sneaker trend, pairing a streamlined silhouette with a double-lacing system, alongside a grip that curls around the outsole.
The hybrid Triple S.2 is an update of the brand’s wildly successful Balenciaga Triple S style, which was introduced in 2017. Now Piccioli is revisiting the original with another outsized design featuring a stacked, splayed outsole. All told, 68 individual pieces are used to create every pair. Mesh surfaces play up breathability and printed radiant stripes outline the sneaker’s panels.

In addition to Perry, the campaign features actress Yao Chen and soccer player Hugo Ekitike wearing the label’s fall ‘26 collection, as well as other sporty pieces from the collection.
Perry, who is seen jump-roping, said on Instagram that for her, discipline is “self respect.” “It’s also self love. It doesn’t have to be rigid. It can start out small, showing up just daily in a small way, and that’s how you build consistency over perfection.”
