Kate Hudson went light to dark across two pre-Oscars stops in Los Angeles on Friday, wearing silver Georges Chakra couture for the ICG Publicists Awards luncheon before changing into a brown Max Mara dress for the Women in Film Oscars Nominees Celebration later that night ahead of the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, Hudson wore a strapless silver Georges Chakra fall 2025 couture dress to the ICG Publicists Awards luncheon. The “Song Sung Blue” star’s dress featured a black band across the top edge, set above a sweetheart neckline in metallic silver jacquard with a foil-like sheen and raised floral motifs. The same silver metallic fabric covered the fitted bodice, straight front panel and rounded hip panels.

She paired the mid-calf silhouette with glossy black Louboutin Miss Z pumps. As for glam, Hudson wore her hair down in loose, brushed waves, keeping her makeup equally soft and natural.
Later that night, at the Women in Film Oscars Nominees Celebration, Hudson changed into an espresso-toned take on the gunmetal-hued dress shown on Max Mara’s fall 2026 runway. The full-length dress featured a high neckline and long sleeves that dropped in a looser line through the upper arm and tightened again at the cuffs. Hudson wore her hair pulled back with face-framing pieces loose at the front, along with a dark smokey eye.

Hudson’s recent “Song Sung Blue” looks have run the gamut of red-carpet dressing. The Prada gown she wore to the BAFTA Film Awards came off the shoulder in saturated red satin. Her Valentino look at the 2026 Actor Awards followed with a cape, a train and a softer palette. Her two dresses from Friday shifted the proportions once more: Georges Chakra built volume at the hips in silver couture, while Max Mara narrowed the line to a long brown satin column. Hudson has worked throughout the run with stylist Sophie Lopez, who also styled her BAFTA and SAG appearances.
