Jennifer Garner says there’s nothing better than a good onscreen fight

Penned by Laura Dave, The Last Thing He Told Me was one of the most popular novels of 2021. Inspired, in part, by the Enron scandal, the small-screen adaptation followed Hannah (Garner), a newlywed who teams up with her stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) to unravel the mystery behind her husband Owen’s (Coster-Waldau) sudden disappearance when his company becomes embroiled in a financial scandal.
After Owen vanishes, he leaves Hannah a note telling her to protect Bailey, and the pair are left to figure out what happened, which reveals dark secrets in her husband’s past.
