IVE’s Jang Wonyoung Is Miu Miu Beauty’s Ambassador for Japan and South Korea

FRESH FACE: Miu Miu has named Jang Wonyoung its Japan and Korea beauty ambassador.

The 21-year-old K-pop star, also referred mononymously as Wonyoung, is a member of IVE, one of South Korea’s most successful girl groups.

Already a brand ambassador for the Italian label, the singer will feature in the campaign for its new Miutine fragrance launching in April. The scent imagined by perfumer Dominique Ropion is described as “a classic chypre signature… twisted with a fruity gourmet cheekiness.”

In a statement revealing the appointment, Miu Miu described Jang as “one of the most influential young icons of her generation, she embodies both modern femininity and unapologetic individuality, resonating deeply with the free-spirited and unconventional essence of the house.”

Jang gained recognition in 2018 after winning first place on the Mnet reality show “Produce 48,” representing Starship Entertainment. She became a member of the group Iz*One, disbanded in 2021, and debuted in December 2021 with IVE.

Soon after, she was named brand ambassador for Miu Miu and has since been tapped by the likes of Fred, Bulgari, Tommy Hilfiger’s Tommy Jeans and most recently, skin care brand Dr. Althea.

Boasting some 15.6 million followers on Instagram, Jang is also popular on Chinese social media platforms. In 2024, Jang’s name had been mentioned more than 3 billion times on Xiaohongshu — more than Blackpink members Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé. Only Jennie had more mentions than Jang, WWD reported at the time.

That year, the South Korean star was also highlighted by Launchmetrics among the Asian celebrities who helped drive $425.5 million in media impact value around the fall 2024 shows during Paris Fashion Week.

IVE — composed of Jang and fellow members Gaeul, An Yu-jin, Rei, Liz, and Leeseo — released its second studio album, titled “Revive+,” in February and announced the “Show What I Am” world tour for 2026.

The tour’s American leg will take place from July 21 to Aug. 9 in cities such as Los Angeles for the U.S. and Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
