With MI chasing 241 at Wankhede, Rohit seemed to be limping four balls into the fifth over. Soon he needed treatment. But as much as he tried to bat on, it became clear that there was a problem. Rohit left the field with his hamstring all strapped up. He had made 19 off 13 balls and didn’t return to bat as MI lost a high-scoring game by 18 runs.
By then, Kohli was already off the field for what Simon Doull described as an ankle injury on air. Kohli was seen getting treatment on his left leg five balls into the tenth over of RCB’s innings. On 35 off 25 deliveries at that stage, he finished with 50 from 38 balls before being dismissed by Hardik Pandya in the 15th over.
Kohli was seen in the dugout as RCB completed the win over MI. Doull asked RCB captain Rajat Patidar about an update on Kohli’s injury at the post-match presentation. “I don’t know, but I feel he’s okay right now,” Patidar said.
