Gagné moves up at McMillan Vantage

This week’s movers on the government relations scene.

Matthew Gagné has secured a promotion at McMillan Vantage.

The firm announced this week that Gagné had been named a consultant, saying he has “developed a growing expertise advising clients across the housing, natural resources, and financial services sectors, helping them navigate an increasingly complex federal and provincial policy environment.”

“Matt has brought a deep level of care to his files, consistently exemplifying what it means to be a trusted advisor. He brings sharp political instincts, sound judgment, and a client-first approach to every engagement,” the firm wrote on LinkedIn.

Gagné, who joined the firm in 2024 as an associate, is also known for being a political organizer in Eastern Ontario, with McMillan Vantage saying he played a “key role” in delivering the federal Liberals massive wins in the Ottawa area in last spring’s election, and helping the provincial Liberal pick up a seat in the city in the February vote.

A quick programming note: This is the last Comings & Goings of 2025. We’ll start up again in the New Year.

Happy Holidays!
