The national carrier Etihad Airways and German leisure airline Condor unveiled on December 5 a strategic partnership to introduce daily nonstop flights between Germany and Abu Dhabi, starting in summer 2026. The agreement brings new direct links from Frankfurt and Berlin to the UAE capital, connecting two of Germany’s most important cities with the Middle East. From 1 May 2026, Condor will launch daily nonstop flights from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) using its widebody Airbus A330 aircraft. This marks Condor’s first return to dedicated Middle Eastern long-haul flying in several years and reflects the growing market demand between Germany and the UAE.

Beginning 15 June 2026, Condor will further extend its Middle Eastern footprint with a daily Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) – Abu Dhabi route operated by an Airbus A320. For Berlin, this adds another scheduled nonstop service to Abu Dhabi, which is currently served only by Eurowings. This addition is a notable development for Germany’s capital, which has gradually regained long-haul connectivity over the past few years.

Under the terms of the new codeshare agreement, Condor-operated flights on both new routes will carry Etihad flight numbers. At the same time, Etihad will place its code on selected Condor services. This ensures unified marketing, joint schedules, and seamless passenger experiences across both airlines. Travelers flying with Condor will be able to connect at Etihad’s Abu Dhabi hub with through-checked baggage and coordinated transfers. An Etihad spokesperson commented,
