Demi Lovato cut through Midtown on Tuesday in burgundy satin slingbacks, trading last season’s black patent for a darker, softer pump while out promoting her new book, “One Plate at a Time.”

The pointed heels kept to the clean, narrow line that has defined Lovato’s recent slingback run, but the finish changed the effect. The deep wine satin read nearly black against her leather set from a distance, then pulled out richer plum tones as she moved. The shoes featured a long pointed toe, a low-cut vamp and a slim slingback strap set against a narrow stiletto. The shape stayed spare: no hardware, no platform, no extra trim.

Lovato paired the heels with Zeynep Arçay’s Mini Leather Biker with Lace and matching Mini Leather Lace Skirt from the brand’s resort 2026 collection. The black leather jacket had a high stand collar, long sleeves and curved paneled seaming through the torso, then ended in a short white lace peplum. The matching skirt hit below the knee and carried white lace at the waist. An Acne Studios Multipocket bucket bag and narrow rectangular sunglasses kept the rest of the look in the same biker chic register.

The author and artist has something of a penchant for slingback silhouettes. Last September, she wore black patent slingbacks with an archival Pierre Cardin jumpsuit while heading to “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” in New York. Weeks later in Paris, she paired Saint Laurent’s patent Apolline slingbacks with Coperni’s second-skin bodysuit and cargo tights. Those pairs leaned glossy and sharp. Tuesday’s version kept the same pointed shape, but shifted the finish from polished patent to saturated satin.

The outing came as Lovato continues promoting “One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food,” her hybrid cookbook-memoir that features over 80 approachable recipes and delves into her path toward a healthier relationship with food.
