Delta Air Lines Launches 5 New Nonstop Long-Haul Routes: See Flights Now

Delta Air Lines is one of the big three US airlines and ranks as the third-largest US carrier by international departures. The airline has steadily expanded its global presence and now serves more than 300 destinations across six continents.

Its network has continued to evolve throughout 2026. The carrier has added new routes in both the domestic and international markets. It is set to add another five nonstop long-haul routes later this year and in 2027.

Two of the routes will operate from its Atlanta hub. The first will open a completely new market for the airline. On October 23, Delta is launching a nonstop service between Atlanta and Riyadh, using its Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The Atlanta-based carrier is also restoring nonstop service between Atlanta and Tel Aviv in December.

Perhaps the most interesting addition is Delta’s new link to the Asia-Pacific region. In March 2027, the airline will launch nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Manila. The route will connect Southern California with one of Southeast Asia’s largest travel markets. When the service begins, Delta will become the only US airline offering nonstop flights between the two cities.

Philippine Airlines is currently the only carrier operating nonstop flights on the city pair. Delta’s entry will therefore give passengers another direct option between the US and the Philippines. Delta has previously served Manila through its former hub at Tokyo Narita. The airline ended that service in 2020. Since then, passengers have largely relied on one-stop itineraries through Seoul Incheon with SkyTeam partner Korean Air.

Furthermore, Delta’s new Paris service from Austin is also notable. Over the past few years, the airline has become a major player at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport(AUS). In spring 2027, Delta will take another step forward with its first-ever long-haul service from the Texas airport. The airline will launch nonstop flights to Paris with A330-900neo aircraft.

With this, Delta will become the only US airline with nonstop service between Austin and Europe. Currently, from Austin, British Airways flies to London Heathrow, Lufthansa operates to Frankfurt, and Delta joint venture partner KLM serves Amsterdam. Furthermore, Aviation Week cited Sabre Market Intelligence data that showed about 51,100 two-way passengers traveled between Austin and Paris in 2025.

Paris ranked as Austin’s second-largest European city market behind London, which recorded about 181,700 passengers. The Paris market was also larger than Austin’s existing nonstop markets to Amsterdam and Frankfurt, which generated about 47,000 and 26,800 passengers, respectively.

Delta Eyes A Return To Singapore

Furthermore, Delta is potentially considering a new route to Singapore, although the airline has yet to reveal a route, aircraft, or launch date. The possibility follows Delta’s return to Hong Kong in June and its announcements of new Manila and Tokyo Narita services for next year. It would also fit with the carrier’s broader focus on expanding its long-haul presence across the Pacific.

Delta last served the city in 2019 through its former Tokyo Narita operation. Its final Singapore flight operated on September 22, 2019, with daily Boeing 767-300ER service between Tokyo Narita and Singapore Changi. The airline cited financial pressure on the route at the time. It also faced competition from alliance partners at Singapore Airlines’ Star Alliance hub.

Additionally, the move was also tied to the airline shifting its Tokyo operations to the more conveniently located Tokyo Haneda. But the big question now is whether Delta decides to return to the market: which US gateway would it choose? According to The Points Guy, Delta President Glen Hauenstein ruled out Los Angeles as the origin for a potential nonstop Singapore service. Seattle could therefore be an option.

Delta describes Seattle as its “premier Pacific gateway.” Singapore Airlines already operates daily flights between Seattle and Singapore with the A350-900. This shows that the market exists. For now, Delta has provided no further details, so the potential Singapore route remains worth watching.
