The initial contracts you receive in Marathon are mostly fetch quests that don’t require a ton of effort on your part. These contracts are either for CyberAcme, or they’re the Liaison Contracts for new factions that you can join once you complete the “Welcome to Tau Ceti” contracts. However, after you’ve dipped your toes in some of the new factions, you’ll start to get more challenging contracts.

One of these contracts is called Data Reconstruction, and it’s required to progress the NuCaloric faction in Marathon. While Data Reconstruction sounds simple enough on paper, it’s not as easy as you might think. There are three separate objectives, and you’ll need to visit specific locations on a couple of maps.
