Chloé’s Jelly Mules Are the It Shoe of Spring 2026

Last year, at exactly this time, Chloé’s Jelly Thong Ankle-Strap Sandals from its S/S 25 collection arrived in stores—and the internet had plenty to say about them. Despite chatter about their price, stub heels, and childlike feel, fashion insiders quickly embraced their chic, quirky style. They were seen paired with everything from voluminous dresses and wide-leg jeans to elevated swimsuits, ultimately becoming the must-have sandal for spring and summer.

All the talk didn’t stop Chloé from continuing its jelly-sandal journey. In fact, it only pushed it further. For its S/S 26 collection, the brand, led by Creative Director Chemena Kamali, debuted three jelly-style sandals. The Junie Heeled Sandal and the Junie Heeled Mule featured PVC fabric on the upper, but most notably, the Chloé Jelly Mule is a full jelly sandal, which we anticipate will be the most controversial and popular buy this year.

These new Jelly Mules playfully resemble the slip-on dress-up shoes many had as children but with an elegant twist. They feature an easy slip-on, peep-toe design made from transparent TPU, embellished with a gathered knot and set on a curved kitten heel. Available in sizes 35 to 41 and three colors—blackish gray, muted blue, and orange—they have just launched and are already sold out on Chloé’s website.

Content creator Arielle Charnas is one of the fashion figures driving this demand. A week ago, she shared her new purchase, choosing the versatile black-gray colorway and noting that while they might be a “love-hate” item, she loves them and finds them very flattering and true to size. The shoes’ visibility extended to the streets of Paris, where both English model Ella Richards, who paired hers with a long black ruffled Chloé dress, and singer Maggie Rogers, in a white cascading minidress, wore the same pair at Chloé’s F/W 26 runway show.
