Charles Trueheart, Post reporter and author who ‘could do it all,’ dies at 75


Charles Trueheart, who wrote elegant profiles for The Washington Post and served as a foreign correspondent before drawing on his family’s experiences in an acclaimed book about the Vietnam War, died Sept. 15 at his home in Staunton, Virginia. He was 75.
