If you’re in the market for a designer lipstick, you really can’t go wrong with Celine Beauté’s Rouge Triomphe. The iconic French-girl red launched back in 2024, marking the brand’s first foray into makeup, followed by 14 more satin-finish shades from petal pink to coral to deep plum. Sure, the $78 price tag is definitely a splurge, but compared to other high-end options on the market (some tagged upwards of $150), it seems like a pretty fair deal. Not to mention it’s truly one of the chicest options you can buy. Whenever I see someone uncap the gold embossed medal case, I automatically know they have impeccable taste. Celine just has that effect on people.
I didn’t think the offerings could get any more exquisite, until this past February, when I was lucky enough to get my hands on Celine Beauté’s latest launch: a soft-matte lip balm. Cushiony, buildable, and perfectly blurred, it’s been my on-the-go staple since I took it home—and now, it’s officially available to shop. Keep scrolling for all the details on the effortless balm, including the shade I’ve been wearing for two months.

Similar to the lipstick, the refillable balm comes infused with a high percentage of natural ingredients—94% to be exact—including black rose oil extract and hyaluronic acid spheres for a smooth, comfortable glide. The payoff itself is quite sheer but buildable; just one swipe will supply a subtle kiss of color while three or more will procure a healthy, just-bitten finish. Yet unlike many sheer confections, this melts into a matte finish that mimics the natural, velvety texture of lips as it dries down—a true “your lips, but better” balm.

You’ll find eight stunning shades in the lineup, including one clear number, but my favorite has to be Constance. The berry-brown gives my lips just a pinch of powdery color, which is exactly what I look for in a tinted balm. It’s what I imagine an off-duty supermodel would wear in the ’90s as she dashes across NYC. It helps that the sheer balm is super forgiving, practically made to apply in the back of cabs.
While the lip balm and lipstick shades are not 1:1 swaps, you could totally layer a balm underneath your lipstick of choice for an extra layer of hydration. (Constance and Rose Orphée make a fabulous pair, if I do say so myself.) Regardless, both treasures—one gold, one silver—are worthy of displaying on your vanity or keeping in your bag as an extension of your style. These are high-quality designer lip products, after all.
