Bots are returning to Battlefield 6’s Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush modes

Battlefield 6 is “reintroducing bots to verified experiences”.

Bots were originally removed as part of efforts to “support healthier matchmaking”, but they’ve now been returned to Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush, with up to 12 popping up in each game mode.

If you have bot backfill disabled, you’ll need a lobby of 20 real-life players to kick off, and eight if it’s enabled. Killing bots results in reduced XP, “while player XP remains at 100% (similar values to Multiplayer modes)”.

“If bots are enabled, player stats will not see gains (or losses) such as hours played, kill/death ratio, and total revives,” the team explained. “This is not currently working as intended and is actively being adjusted.”

Challenges will “remain completable” with bots.

The team also announced it has “temporarily disabled” the Lock-Guided Missile (MR Missile) for the Infantry Fighting Vehicle as it “works to address inconsistencies witnessed with this vehicle’s countermeasures”. It hopes to have resolved the issue next week.

Last weekend, Battlefield 6 “made some temporary adjustments” to XP earned in Strikepoint as it works on “a longer-term solution”.

Earlier this week, EA and Battlefield Studios made sweeping changes to challenges, reducing the required milestones for class assignments, weapon assignments, gameplay and mastery assignments, and more. And last weekend, Battlefield 6 “made some temporary adjustments” to XP earned in Strikepoint as it works on “a longer-term solution”. It also introduced a new “relaxed way” to play “while still earning progression and completing challenges”.
