Bad Bunny took to the stage for his highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance and debuted a new colorway of his first signature sneaker from Adidas.
The Bad Bunny x Adidas BadBo 1.0 in all-white is now the third colorway of the sneaker to be seen over the last week. Its debut launch in brown and white came the day after he took home three Grammy Awards and was limited to just 1,994 pairs to commemorate the year of his birth. Bad Bunny then wore a white and black “Rise” colorway during the Thursday press conference for his performance.
Bad Bunny shows matched his cream and white outfits, including a cropped football jersey and a pair of gloves with similar design cues to the sneakers.
Coming five years into a partnership that’s featured collaborations on several existing models, the BadBo 1.0 is intended to blend a retro sports aesthetic with modern materials and bold detailing. Winged overlays define a suede and nubuck upper without a traditional Three Stripes motif, and a double collar hosts the Trefoil logo on the lateral side while ending short on the medial. A stitched motif used in previous collaborations appears on the tongue tag, and the midsole is made out of EVA foam shaped in slight waves.
In a campaign video leading up to the launch of the BadBo 1.0, Bad Bunny said [translated from Spanish]: “There are no big dreams or small dreams. To me, they’re all the same. You decide which one to go for first.”
Past Bad Bunny x Adidas releases have included warped takes on the Taekwondo, Gazelle, Forum Low, Adizero SL 72, Campus, Adiracer GT, Forum Powerphase and Response CL.
No release details have been announced for the all-white Bad Bunny x Adidas BadBo 1.0, but Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
