The Air Jordan 6 is taking a more prominent position in 2026 for its 25th anniversary, as last month’s Salesman release set the table for many more colorways to come through the year. Among those, and shown for the first time Monday, will be the source of one of the most well-regarded Air Jordan collaborations from 2025.

The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 Blue/Crimson was revealed by the streetwear brand in its spring 2026 lookbook. It’s one of two colorways expected for the collaboration, following the lead of Awake’s duo of Air Jordan 5’s from last year, with the second (sku: IQ5706-600) still to be seen but slated to make prominent use of pink once again.

Three shades of blue proceed to the upper, beginning with the darkest at the heel and collar. The lightest is then used for the sidewall overlays, lace cover and the laces themselves, while the upper’s base and tongue serves as the middleground. Bright red contrast stitching appears throughout and matches an sole unit that’d be a precise match for the original Infrared edition were it not for the addition of faint blue speckling on the red elements.

Such an arrangement gives the Air Jordan 6 the essence of a mash-up, and Awake’s “A” logo gets tonal debossing near the midfoot of the upper’s lateral side for a more traditional application than its appearance on the Air Jordan 5.

The Air Jordan 6 Infrared holds a special place in the hearts of fans because it’s the shoe Michael Jordan wore while locking down his first NBA title in 1991. Last month’s Salesman release deviated from the historic pair’s colorblocking ever so slightly with the midsole making greater use of red, but no such deviation is see on the sole of Awake’s (speckling excluded).

The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6s will release in 2026. The inclusion of one colorway in the spring look book doesn’t necessarily guarantee it’ll actually launch during that season, as the pink 5s from last year made the same such appearance and didn’t drop until August.
