Aura Frame Sale (2025): From Aura Carver to Aura Ink

One of my favorite things to gift is a digital photo frame. They’re a delight to all ages, whether it’s my parents enjoying old photos they uploaded or my 3-year-old shouting, “That’s me!” when his own photo scrolls onto the screen. Aura’s frames in particular are both beautiful to look at and easy to use.

Aura’s digital picture frames come in a variety of styles, ranging from the affordable landscape-only Carver frame to the splurge-worthy e-paper Ink frame that can be wirelessly mounted onto your wall. Aura also has an entire mat-style collection of its frames that are my personal favorite, and the ones I find myself recommending again and again. No matter which frame style you choose, you’ll get Aura’s app that has unlimited photo storage, compatibility with iCloud and Google Photos, and the ability to invite anyone to add photos to the frame through the app or the new text-to-frame feature.

Plus, right now every Aura frame we like has some kind of discount, some as high as $60 off. Here are all our favorites and what kind of sale they’re rocking before the holiday season ends.

Mat Digital Photo Frames

Aura’s mat frames look like the name suggests—they have a mat-style frame to give them an upscale look of a beautifully framed photo. It’s my favorite style and one you can find in three sizes, from the 10-inch Carver to the larger 15-inch Walden. The larger Walden and Aspen (12-inch) sizes are flat-backed and can be both mounted on the wall and rotated to sit in either landscape or portrait mode, while the Carver can only sit in tabletop landscape mode. The Carver Mat and Walden have the best discount of $30 off.

While the cheaper base Carver isn’t on sale, the special Stone finish version is on sale and even cheaper than the regular Carver since it has a whopping $60 discount from the price on Aura’s site (though only a $10 discount from the price we usually see on Amazon, but Amazon also only has one Stone color option while Aura’s site has two). It’s everything we like about the Carver, but with a “stone-inspired” finish that has a more organic, high-end look to it. The Stone is the cheapest frame you can buy right now from Aura.

If you like the idea of mounting your Aura frame but don’t want a power cord hanging beneath it, the Aura Ink is for you. It uses an e-paper screen so that it can run off a battery that promises to last about three months, depending on how often it has to change photos. The default is once per day, and while that seems like very little compared to Aura’s usually ever-changing frames, it’s actually a really nice experience to put your best images on the frame and enjoy them for an entire day. It’s Aura’s most expensive frame, but it has the most interesting technology and a $50 discount right now.
