Hervé Léger’s Michelle Ochs is inspired locally but thinking globally for pre-fall 2026.
“I was focusing the energy of New York City. I wanted really vibrant, like blues and shots of purple and just things that just felt like kind of architectural, but in a kind of electric way,” she said at a collection preview.
Since Ochs joined the brand in 2023 the bandage dress has seen a renaissance, but under her creative touch it has been reimagined in new, modern ways. For instance, a bias-cut liquid black slipdress with a single strip of bandage dangling across the clavicle offered an unexpected take on the style.
But that doesn’t mean she’s not thinking about the core glam girl from the ’90s and early 2000s — she is here in 2026, too, with a tiered lace minidress, a ombré print maxidress and a fire engine red halterneck cinched frock with keyhole details. While Ochs has added some daywear with compact knits and leather over the seasons, the party girl dresses still reign supreme.
Her girl is on the move, with additional wholesale channels in Europe including Browns in London and Enny Monaco in Greece. “Europe has been really great, and I think we have a lot to cater to there,” she said of the new doors.
“More people are discovering it again. We’ve built the momentum,” Ochs said.
The brand’s base is still centered on a party, but Ochs continues to find subtle ways to rethink the high octane classic.
