The plane will replace “our older Airbus A330 aircraft that by the end of the decade will get to 30 years of age,” Chief Commercial Officer Mark Galardo said in an interview. The aircraft, which has among the largest ranges in the industry with about 9,000 nautical miles, is “the superior product when you think of ultra-long haul operations” and has “very strong cargo performance,” he added.
