A Kitten Heel Clog Takes Over the Runway

Loewe creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez presented their fall 2026 collection for the brand on Friday during Paris Fashion Week, where new global brand ambassador Julia Garner and more guests were in attendance. Continuing in the tradition of the inventive Loewe spirit, the pair is once again thinking outside the box when it comes to .

The primary silhouette on display was a unique swim-style shoe with a wide toe and a strap at the ankle bearing the brand name. They were presented in a range of colors, including yellow, orange, white, black and purple, and featured a black encasement at the toe with an abstract outline. The shoes were slightly elevated by a sculpted kitten heel.

Miles Socha wrote in a review for WWD, “The designers carried over the sporty feeling of their debut via rubbery kitten heels with the look of swim shoes.”

Additional shoe styles included transparent boots and black sandals with a bow, which were paired with black ribbed tights.

The footwear accompanied a slew of looks, including a glossy slip dress in cerulean, a deep purple mini dress with fuzzy embellishment flowing into a train, coats of dramatic proportions and more designs.

McCullough and Hernandez’s spring 2026 shoes, which were part of their Loewe debut, included clear kitten heel pumps layered with socks of different colors. The sculptural silhouette, featuring a square toe, was also done in opaque colors. Loafers with coiled tassels were also part of that collection’s footwear story.

The Spanish brand’s new creative directors follow in the footsteps of Jonathan Anderson, who moved from Loewe to Dior. Anderson and Dior’s current design director of shoes Nina Christen previously worked at Loewe together, producing some of the label’s buzzy footwear designs like the balloon pumps. Now at Dior, their footwear for fall 2026 included 3D florals and polka dots.
