Welcome back to Ballhalla!
Game 2 is underway at Chase Center as Golden State is again looking to make the most of its home-court advantage. The No. 2 seed Valkyries posted a 68-64 victory Saturday to take a 1-0 lead over the No. 4 Dream.
Both teams are seeking their first WNBA championship. Atlanta has played in three previous Finals but was swept in each appearance. Golden State, an expansion franchise in 2025, is making its first trip to the Finals in just its second season.
Golden State had the best home record in the regular season, going 17-5 at Chase Center. The Valkyries have won seven consecutive games at home, including five playoff contests. Saturday’s win snapped Atlanta’s 10-game winning streak.
The series will shift to Atlanta for Games 3 and 4. As the better seed, the Valkyries host Games 2 and, if necessary, 5 and 7 in a 2-2-1-1-1 format.
ESPN is courtside at Chase Center and will provide live analysis throughout the game.
