What’s the story of the new ‘Transformers’ movie?

Little is known about the plot for the new film, aside from the fact that ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’s Jason Fuchs wrote the script and it is reportedly set in the present day.
Beyond that, we can surely expect the return of Optimus Prime and the Autobots, who continue their battle against the evil of the Decepticons as those Robots in Disguise tussle for victory.
When will the new ‘Transformers’ movie be on screens?

Even with the creative team taking shape, there are zero casting details yet, so we’d not expect to see this one much before 2028 at the earliest.
