Painkiller Atelier Brings Recycled Polyester to Bangkok Runway

Painkiller Atelier’s first experiment with recycled materials has grown from three looks into a full runway collection.

The Thai label unveiled “Rebloom,” a 30-look menswear collection incorporating fabrics made with Indorama Ventures’ Deja recycled polyester fibers, at Bangkok International Fashion Week 2026. Indorama Ventures, which supported the showcase, said it marked the brand’s first experience working with recycled materials.

The collection was presented Oct. 10 at Parc Paragon, Siam Paragon. Its fabrics use fibers made from post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, according to Indorama Ventures.

Thai textile manufacturer and fabric supplier Bulliontex helped develop the collection, providing a range of fabrics made with Deja fibers alongside technical guidance. The collaboration allowed Painkiller’s design team to explore the materials’ different characteristics as its initial three-look experiment expanded into the runway lineup.

The collection takes its design cues from the way plants unfold, expand and bloom. Painkiller translated those organic forms into wrapping, overlapping and layered constructions, exploring the relationship between nature and technology through contemporary menswear.

“Rebloom is not simply about using recycled fabric. We were interested in exploring how a material made possible through recycling technology could be interpreted through design to create new emotions, forms and value. The experience encouraged us to look beyond conventional perceptions of recycled materials and discover their potential within contemporary fashion,” said Siriorn Teankaprasith, co-founder and managing creative director of Painkiller Atelier.

“Rebloom captures the idea at the heart of recycling: a material that has completed one use can become the beginning of something new. Through technology, collaboration and thoughtful design, post-consumer PET can rebloom as a textile product with renewed aesthetic, functional and commercial value,” said Aradhana Lohia Sharma, vice president of finance and wool business at Indorama Ventures. “By connecting our Deja recycled polyester with designers and partners across the value chain, we hope to inspire greater experimentation with recycled materials and demonstrate how they can become part of products that people see, touch and use in everyday life.”

Painkiller Atelier will also mentor designers in Reco Collective 2026. The Indorama Ventures program helps emerging Thai designers use recycled PET in clothing and other products.

This year’s program includes Chana, KH Editions and Appeal Summerwear, with Bulliontex supplying recycled polyester fabrics and guidance on their use. Through the Reco Incubation Lab, participants work on material selection, design, production trials and prototyping, according to Indorama Ventures.

The company launched Reco in 2011 as a young designer competition. It evolved into Reco Collective in 2023, expanding its focus to connect designers, entrepreneurs, material manufacturers and industry experts around product development and market readiness.

Rebloom is planned for sale at Painkiller Atelier’s flagship store at Gaysorn Amarin following fashion week. Deja hangtags will identify the material collaboration with Indorama Ventures.
