A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and wounded a man in New York City on Thursday, authorities said, the latest in a string of shootings involving federal immigration agents.
The shooting took place in the city’s Marble Hill neighborhood at about 4 p.m., according to the New York Police Department. The man who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital and was “conscious and receiving medical attention,” the department said in a statement.
