National Hispanic Heritage Month is a moment to reflect on the history, experiences and cultures of Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States.

Celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, the month has roots in a week-long observance established by Congress and a presidential proclamation in 1968.
