Star Wars: Galactic Racer Is Free on Amazon Luna With Prime. Here’s How to Play

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to sign up for a free Amazon Prime trial subscription, the perfect time is now. Not only can you take advantage of exclusive Prime Day sales and discounted deals happening this week, but you can also play the latest Star Wars racing game right now for free.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an arcade-style racing game set in Star Wars’ Outer Rim after the fall of the Galactic Empire. It’s built by former Burnout and Need for Speed developers at Fuse Games, and has been compared to the much-loved 1999 game Star Wars Episode I: Racer. You’ll pilot landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders and podracers as you battle through the unsanctioned Galactic League racing series, complete with a story-driven solo campaign and PvP matches. It’s so wizard.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer free with Amazon Prime

Galactic Racer is available to play right now for free on Amazon Luna, the online retailer’s game-streaming service. All you’ll need to take advantage of this deal is an Amazon Prime account — there’s no console to buy and nothing to download. (The game streams directly from Amazon’s servers to your device, so you will need a strong internet connection.) If you don’t yet have a membership, you’re in luck; Amazon is handing out free trials left, right and center this week.

Luna streams games to Amazon’s Fire TV devices, PCs and Macs, as well as Android and Apple mobile devices, and other smart TVs such as LG and Samsung’s. You could start playing right away on the phone in your pocket, but I’d recommend you grab a compatible controller for the best experience. The Backbone One, for example, is my go-to for on-the-go gaming. If you want to pick one up, now’s the time. It’s 20% off during Prime Day. so you can grab one for just $64, down from its $80 list price.
