A cold makeup front is moving in with a forecast of wet lashes and icy cheekbones.
How do we know? Because Zendaya said so.
The “Euphoria” star erupted on the Paris Fashion Week scene, where she — ironically — brought winter-inspired glam to the Louis Vuitton spring 2027 show. Here, under a Y2K skater boy pixie cut, she wore an ethereal face, featuring sticky lash clusters, bubblegum cheeks and a glazed complexion courtesy of makeup architect Ernesto Casillas.

Even behind her billowing top, which was a callback to a red carpet moment from “The Odyssey,” the beauty popped. “The inspiration for this was what I pictured a cool girl in 1999 to look like — frosty eyes, a clumpy wet lash and tons of gloss on the lips and cheeks,” Casillas told WWD.
The spidery lash aesthetic, specifically, is one she’s been favoring as of late, and people are taking notice. According to new data by Fresha, a booking platform for beauty and wellness, search for “wet look lashes” has swelled over 40 percent in the last year, amassing roughly 3,000 searches in the past four weeks alone. The surge in interest signals a new trend at play, one that has the legs to last through the holiday season.

To perfect a wet lash, all you need is mascara and a pair of tweezers — lash extensions are optional, though Casillas did use some as well as a tubing mascara. “To really accentuate her eye shape, I used two Lashify Stardust 12 clusters — one on the ends of her eye and another one in the middle,” he continued.
If you’re not using lash clusters, the key is to coat the top line in a thick layer of mascara and separate the hairs into skinny stacks using the tweezers. The result, if done correctly, should appear tear-soaked but clump-free.
For party season, Danielle Louise, hair and makeup expert at Fresha, said to focus on the visible texture and not to worry about the “uniform dense finish.” But if you’re going to the salon, Louise suggested asking for “a wet-look finish with lengths, thicknesses and an overall weight suited to your natural lashes.” She also recommended bringing an inspiration picture. Perhaps one of Zendaya?

Not only did the “Dune” star sport a similar lash at the 78th annual Emmy Awards in September, she wore spiky hair there, too. Crafted by celebrity hair artist Coree Moreno, her dark brown ends appeared like a messier version of the flapper pixie — shaggy and teased all over.
For Tuesday’s sculpted style, Moreno used the 0.75″ Perfecter Pro Heated Round Brush Gen 4 by Calista Tools. The stylist shared the key ingredient on Instagram, writing “flips and dips” before tagging the brand.
