Samsung’s The Frame TV is at its lowest price ever right now, at 40 percent off—a very appealing deal for one of the most popular art TVs on the market. The discount applies to the 2025 65-inch model, which is still a very capable TV that does its primary function very well. Unlike a regular TV, an art TV has a matte screen layer that makes screensavers like photos or paintings look more like actual art and less like a shiny screen on your wall.
Fifty percent off is a big discount, but it makes sense for an older model—TV prices almost always plummet a year or two after they originally launch. Samsung 65-Inch The Frame TV (2025) for $898 ($600 off)
Samsung’s The Frame popularized the entire art TV category, which now includes copycats from Amazon, TCL, Hisense, and others. When not in TV mode, the Frame TV’s matte, antireflective-coated display makes paintings look textured and realistic, especially compared to a standard glossy TV panel. It also gets very bright, meaning it still looks good in a room with lots of natural light.
It’s best suited to brighter rooms, as it doesn’t have the best local dimming or black-and-gray contrast—dark scenes in a dark room can look a little lackluster. Also, Samsung only offers a rotating catalog of 30 free art images. You’ll need a $5 monthly subscription to the Samsung Art Store to access the full catalog of over 5,000 art images, including selections from institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago.
Samsung’s latest version, The Frame Pro (2026), is also on sale, but not at nearly as appealing a price as this model. But it has an enhanced antireflective screen and an improved One Connect external box that houses all the inputs.
