Save $230: Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days doesn’t kick off until Tuesday, but you can already grab the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 for $400. That’s $230 off its usual $630 price. This is also the lowest price we’ve seen for it on Amazon. You’ll need to be a Prime member to get it at this price, though, since Amazon is offering it as a Prime-exclusive deal.
Fall can be a weird time for the air in your home. In a lot of the country, you have to deal with chilly mornings and warm afternoons on the same day. If you live somewhere that gets wildfire smoke, this is also the time of year when a good purifier will be useful to have. The HP10 handles all of that in one machine, since it purifies, heats and cools.

Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10
$400 (Original price: $630)
The HP10 isn’t Dyson’s newest model. That said, you still get the core features that matter most here, including HEPA filtration, heating and cooling. What you’ll miss compared to Dyson’s pricier models is app control and an auto mode, so you’ll have to adjust it yourself with the remote. At $400, I think that’s a fair trade, especially given that this purifier handles the basics just right.
You get a fully sealed HEPA H13 system. That means the whole machine is designed to keep what it captures from leaking back out, instead of just the filter doing so. Dyson says it removes 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, so you can expect it to catch dust, pollen, pet dander and smoke particles pretty well. It also has built-in sensors and an LCD screen that shows you your air quality as it changes, which is nice if you like to keep track of what’s going on in your room.
You also get 350-degree oscillation, 10 airflow settings and a night mode that runs quietly with a dimmed display. There’s a sleep timer too, and you can set it to turn off after one, two, four or eight hours. The remote is magnetic and attaches to the top of the machine, so you can keep it attached to avoid losing it.

Alternatives to consider
If you’d rather have the HP10’s replacement, you can get the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 for $500. It costs $100 more than this deal, though, so I think the HP10 is the better value unless you specifically want the newer model.
If you don’t need the heater or fan and just want a solid purifier for a big space, you can get the Blueair Blue 211i Max for $228 (save $122). It covers rooms up to 3,235 square feet, and you get Wi-Fi and an auto mode with it.
