GTA 6 is seemingly adding another naughty pastime to the series’ already mammoth collection of naughty pastimes. Joining the strip clubs and violent car-jackings and carefree murder is “frequent and prominent” drug use that you can try “at any time,” according to a new age rating.
Grand Theft Auto 6 recently received a PEGI 18+ age rating that was uploaded and then quickly deleted from the Pan European Game Information board’s website, but not before fans saved and then shared details from the listing.

Most of PEGI’s description covers what you’d expect from a Grand Theft Auto game. There’s murder, robberies, gun crime, other illegal shenanigans and lots of swears. What’s new in this sixth numbered GTA is the free usage of hard drugs, apparently.
“Drug use is frequent and prominent with the player being able to partake in drug use with others and to use illegal drugs directly from their inventory,” the now-deleted rating stated. “Most notably, cocaine can be carried around by the player and snorted directly from their hand at any time.”
While most GTA stories usually centre drug trade in some fashion, most of the series’ protagonists aren’t so enthusiastic about using the goods they sell. GTA 5 and GTA Online both include optional bongs, sure, but they can normally only be found in player-owned apartments, not carried about in the wider world.
A separate age rating from earlier today suggested that GTA 6 may be the first Grand Theft Auto game to directly depict sex scenes, and the PEGI listing corroborates that info too: “There are also strong sexual themes, including nudity, scenes of intercourse and occasional scenes of sexual fetishes. In various night clubs the player can also pay for private dances, during which, the game allows the player to move their hands onto the dancers’ breasts and buttocks.”
And, finally, there’s the unsurprising presence of violence, as is the norm for Rockstar Games. PEGI said players can “harm all other characters inhabiting the environment” with a “high degree of realism.” Some weapons will obviously “cause greater damage such as detailed decapitation and dismemberment.”
Rockstar devs have been boasting about how they’ve significantly upped the detail in GTA 6’s “re-engineered” weather system and in, well, every other corner of the game, so more realistic violence is probably unsurprising, especially given the series’ history.
