S&P/TSX composite finishes in negative territory, U.S. markets gain ground




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index finished in negative territory, weighed down by losses in the basic materials sector, while U.S. markets gained ground.
The S&P/TSX composite index was down 81.11 points at 35,154.76.
