The beloved medical comedy Scrubs is back — again! The series, which was rebooted earlier this year on ABC, reuniting most of the show’s original cast, including Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, received a second-season order and premieres this week.

Scrubs returned in February, more than 15 years after its cancellation, and it earned ABC one of its biggest streaming audiences for a comedy, with over 11 million viewers tuning in to the premiere. That popularity made it a shoo-in for a renewal; not only will this season be a little longer (10 episodes instead of last season’s nine), it will also feature a beloved character from the original series, Scott Foley’s Sean Kelly, J.D.’s romantic rival for Elliot’s affection.

When is the Scrubs season 2 premiere?

Season 2 of the Scrubs reboot will premiere on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. There will be two episodes arriving that night. The episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu. New episodes of Scrubs air weekly on Wednesdays at the same time. There will be 10 episodes total.

How to watch the Scrubs reboot without cable

You can watch ABC with live TV streaming services like YouTube TV and DirecTV. Episodes will stream the next day on Hulu. A subscription to Hulu’s ad-supported plan costs $12.50 a month, but for just $13, you can get the ad-supported Disney Plus-Hulu bundle. The ad-free bundle costs $22 per month.

Who stars in the Scrubs reboot?

Scrubs has managed to bring back almost all of the show’s original cast, to varying degrees. Braff returns as John “J.D.” Dorian, now the head of medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital. Faison is back as J.D.’s best friend and Sacred Heart’s chief of surgery, Christopher Turk. Chalke returns to the show as Elliot Reid, and Ava Bunn is the relative newcomer, introduced in the first season of the reboot as medical intern Sam Tosh. Original Scrubs actors John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes will recur this season, and Scott Foley will reprise his role as Sean Kelly, Elliot’s former fling. Rachel Bilson will appear as J.D.’s new crush.
