S&P/TSX composite down in late-morning trading, U.S. stocks move higher




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index fell in late-morning trading, weighed down by losses in the energy and technology sectors, while U.S. markets climbed higher.
The S&P/TSX composite index was down 45.62 points at 35,660.84.
